From Northern Syria, possible the Khan Sheikhoon area, a finely embroidered but simple thob of polished black cotton. The bodice is only minimally embroidered, possibly because it was worn with a vest or short jacket. Most of the embroidery graces the back of the skirt, as seen in the previous image.
