Chardor
Syria traditional clothing dresses folk chador Sitti Zeinab Weiss-Armush

The half circular shaped chardor was worn by Iranian pilgrims who traveled to pray at the Sitti Zeimab shrine in the southern suburbs of Damascus. Bolts of inexpensive cotton fabric stamped in monotone small flowers are sold throughout the Damascus souk.

The Weiss-Armush collection includes an example, printed in dull green.

This type of half circle veil is also worn by many Saudi women when they pray at home.
