So heavily embroidered that the black fabric is not visible, this thob from Serakib features the usual asymetrical side panels: one is hand embroidered while the other is stitched by machine in wide parallel lines. A diamond shape drapes over the shoulders and chest, with the wearer's head emerging from the center. The neck opening is finished by machine, as is the hem.
The medallions hanging from the chest embroidery have been compared to the shapes on the silver Bedouin jewelery from the region.
